FAQ
Q: How come your course is only 3 days when other schools require more time?
A: We are a hands-on program where you practice your pre-trip, parking maneuvers, and on-road driving skills. According to the FMCSA, there is no requirement saying how much time that should take. We’ve developed this program to help hard-working people get ahead and advance their careers without giving up months of their time. With our online ELDT course and one on one training you will have accumulated many hours and be prepared for your road test.
Q: Why is your cost lower than that of other schools?
A: Our cost is lower because we take up less of your time! We teach you how to be a safe driver and how to pass the road test. We understand that not everyone has the time to commit to a long program, we wanted our program to be flexible to work for you.
Q: How much experience do I need?
A: Experience with trailers is necessary because our training focuses on the skills needed to pass your road test. By trailers we mean boat trailers, enclosed trailers, dump trailers, horse trailers, etc. We go over your pre-trip, parking maneuvers, and on-road driving. If you are an entry-level driver and need experience we offer our trucks to practice, call to schedule!
Q: Why do you only offer Automatic?
A: Simply put we don’t have a standard truck and much of the industry is becoming automatic. Automatics are easier to drive and maintain. If you need to get licensed with a manual give us a call and we'll see if we can help.
Q: What is ELDT and why do I need it?
A: ELDT stands for Entry Level Driver Training. As of February 2022, everyone needs to take this training. Think of this as the classroom portion of our training, except you get to take it at your own pace from the comfort of your home, you need to receive a score of 80% and complete it approximately 30 days before you come to train with us. Refer to our ELDT page for more information.
Q: Why would you refuse to bring someone to the test site?
A: If our instructors feel that you are an unsafe driver, do not have the skills we require, or are negligent. We reserve the right to not represent you. We can provide extra training hours to those who need more practice.
Q: Once I submit my paperwork what are my next steps?
A: Once you submit your paperwork and your deposit your next step is to complete your online ELDT course and then contact us to schedule your training when you’re done.
Q: What if I already completed my ELDT?
A: No problem! Send a picture of your certificate with the rest of your paperwork and we’ll reduce our price.
Q: Can you guarantee that I will get a job?
A: No we can not guarantee that you will receive a job once you get your license, however you will be adding to your skills. CDL drivers are needed and in high demand, receiving your license will allow you to apply for more jobs and receive higher pay!
Q: Do you offer financing?
A: No we do not offer financing, we can set you up with a payment plan. Call for more information.
Q: I went through another program can I just take my road test with you?
A: While we understand you have went through another program we still require you to go through our training. Every school teaches it differently. We are a hands on learning program and require our students to be proficient before taking them for their road test. We can reduce our price if you completed your ELDT, but the training price will remain the same.
